This course is intended for students who have a thorough knowledge of college preparatory mathematics, including algebra, axiomatic geometry, trigonometry and analytic geometry. The traditional approach begins with the study of elementary functions algebraic, trigonometric, and exponential logarithmic & limits. The remaining units of differential and integral calculus include derivatives, continuity, slope, velocity and acceleration, related rates (maximum and minimum), antiderivatives, techniques of integration, the definite integral, fundamental theorem, and area/volume & introduction to series and sequences. Optional topics: differential equations, polar and complex coordinates, and introduction to linear algebra.
